抱子甘藍燴蘿蔔 Braised Brussels Sprouts with Daikon

材料 Ingredients

白蘿蔔 Daikon1 磅 lb (450g)
抱子甘藍Brussels Sprout 10 顆 ea
紅蔥頭 Shallot 1 顆 ea
食用油 Cooking oil 1 大匙 Tbs
鹽 Salt 1/2 小匙 tsp
無鹽高湯 Unslated stock 1 杯 cup

做法﹕
1.白蘿蔔洗乾淨後去皮切成小塊。抱子甘藍洗乾淨後切掉頭部,剝去外層1-2葉後每顆切成對半。紅蔥頭去皮後切薄片。
2.燒開半個小鍋的水,放進白蘿蔔用中火煮10分鐘。
3.炒鍋燒熱後加入1大匙油。放進紅蔥頭用小火炒香後拌入抱子甘藍略炒一下。
4.撈出白蘿蔔放進炒鍋,加入鹽和高湯後加蓋用中火再煮5分鐘,或煮到達到你喜歡蘿蔔的軟度。



Procedure:
1.Wash the daikon and cut it into small chunks. Rinse the Brussels sprouts and take off the tip of their stems. Remove couple outer leaves of each Brussels sprout. Peel the shallot and cut it into thin slices.
2.Boil half pot of water. Add the daikon chunks, cover and cook in medium heat for 10 minutes.
3.Heat 1 tbs. of oil in a heated wok. Add the shallot and sauté until aromatic. Mix in the Brussels sprouts.
4.Transfer the daikon (without water) to the wok. Add the salt and stock, cover and cook in medium heat for 5 minutes, or until the daikon reach the desired tenderness.
